Hi! My name is Melissa Jordan. I have been serving with Adventures in Missions for the last 8 years serving internationally and domestically as a missionary and have been serving over 3 years long-term in Guatemala with the organization. Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. Adventures in Missions is an accredited EFCA that was established in 1989. Since then, it has sent over 115,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as one week and others for as long as a year or longer. Adventures ministers year-round through long-term ministry bases and strategic ministry partnerships within countries world-wide. One of those bases is in Guatemala. 
The mission statement of Adventures Guatemala is summed up in three words; serve, disciple, and send. We serve communities through water filter distribution, community outreach, stove installation. We disciple through monthly Church Mobilization conferences, Beauty for Ashes, and team discipleship. We send through training and mobilization. 

My specific role in this is the sending and discipleship. The teams I am a part of on staff are our pathways team and the Mobilization team. Our pathways team is focused on mentoring and discipling Guatemalans who feel a call to long-term missions. The mobilization team's focus is raising up and sending Latinos to the nations, with a specific focus on the Middle East. That looks like training, mentoring, and even going on mission trips with teams. In the last 3 years, I've had the privilege to go on 5 mission trips with Guatemalans to other nations to share the gospel! 

To be able to serve with Adventures, I have agreed to support raise. I have given a commitment to serving here in Guatemala and I am support raising to cover my entire cost of living for the duration of my time.
