The mission statement of Adventures Guatemala is summed up in three words; serve, disciple, and send. We serve communities through water filter distribution, community outreach, stove installation. We disciple through monthly Church Mobilization conferences, Beauty for Ashes, and team discipleship. We send through training and mobilization.
My specific role in this is the discipleship. My official title is women’s ministry coordinator, which means I work specifically with the women in the villages. Beauty for Ashes is the women’s ministry of Adventures in Missions. The primary focus is to share God’s restoration, hope, and healing with women through ministry and training. What the practically look like is leading bible studies, doing house visits, installing stoves and water filters, and leading retreats for the women. Our hope is to see these restored women become Christ’s ambassadors for change in their homes, communities, and country. Obviously this is just a snapshot of the ministry and I’d love to share more in depth about it at a later date if you’re interested.
To be able to serve with Adventures, I have agreed to support raise. I have given a 3-year open-ended commitment to serving in Guatemala and I am support raising to cover my entire cost of living for the duration of my time. These donations cover the salary needed and also the ministry that I am a part of. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. If you’d like any more information free to reach out!
