Hello family and friends! It is with the most excited and joy filled heart that I am announcing that I am going on a life-changing 11 month mission trip with the World Race. The World Race is an organization that exists to awaken and activate people worldwide to their identity and role in the Kingdom of God. The World Race is a part of Adventures in Missions, an interdenominational missions organization. I will be blessed with the opportunities to grow with God, serve others and make a difference in the world. In all things, God works for the good of those who love him, and who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). I will be pushed out of my comfort zone and taken places I have never dreamed of going. Jesus calls his followers to take up their cross, die to themselves and follow Him (Matthew 16:24). I will be placed into situations where I must rely solely on dependence; the choice to allow God to be my strength in the areas where I am weak (2 Cor 12:), to step into discomfort and obedience without having any guarantees besides His presence and His goodness. I will be walking with the Lord as I work on meeting physical needs in the communities I serve such as providing food and clean water, creating discipleship opportunities, working with kids and youth ministries, church planting, preaching the Gospel, visiting prisons, teaching English and serving refugees all while spreading the promises God has for His Children and His incredible love. There have been countless prayers, thoughts, tears, questions, doubts and miracles that have guided me to this decision. I truly believe that God is calling me to this trip, to deepen my relationship with Him, to boldly serve others and to love people like Jesus would. As followers of Jesus we are called to become like Him (Ephesians 5:1-2) and help others to do the same (Mathew 28:18-20). I will be living in 6 different countries over the span of 11 months; Guatemala, Romania, Albania, Turkey, Jordan and Southern Asia. I will be leaving for this life giving trip in September and returning home in July of 2024. I am bursting with excitement and joy that I have been called to such a life changing opportunity! I will need the support of family, friends and most importantly The Lord throughout this entire journey. Any prayers, positive thoughts and words of encouragement for me, my family, my squadmates, the countries I will be living in, the people I will be meeting, the lives that will be changing and The God that will be providing are very much appreciated and welcomed. I also have a goal of fundraising $19,000 dollars for this trip! (Yes you read that number right!)
