Hey everybody! I’m MaKayla, I grew up in Nebraska and now I live in Florida. In the past, I was a very lukewarm Christian who never really understood what God’s love truly meant. In the last two years I have learned what it feels like to truly be on fire for God. After learning what his love really means, all I want to do is what he tells me to. A year ago and everyday since, I hear him tell me that I have to share Him, I can’t keep this love to myself. I have to go and take care of his sheep while feeding them the gospel. After a few months of hearing this I found world race. At first I ignored the idea of traveling anywhere, I thought “no, I’ll just evangelize here in town.” God didn’t take no for an answer, he was persistent in telling me that I need to go on a mission trip. I finally decided to obey what he was telling me and applied to world race. Now I cannot wait to see what God has in store for His kingdom on this trip. I look forward to helping the people of Guatemala and teaching them about what Jesus did for us and who God is. Missions are for everybody, we are all commanded to feed his sheep, however it’s not always possible for all of us to take that trip so we find other ways to give to his mission. Donating to this trip is one way that you can help the mission and give to His Kingdom. By donating to my mission trip you allow me to fly and stay in Guatemala for two months. While there I will be working for their community and helping the people that need community service. I may also find opportunities where I’m teaching a new generation about Christianity, working with youth that are at risk of falling into gang violence, or teaching English to those who don’t know it yet. As I go to Guatemala and experience more, I will update my blog with journals and pictures of how the trip is going and what the Lord is using me for while I’m there. I will be leaving May 31st and returning July 29th! Thank you so much for your donation.
