Adventures in Missions exists to awaken and activate Christ followers worldwide into their identity and role in God's kingdom. We believe the Great Commission is still our calling as Christians and our heart beats to see lives transformed by God. Adventures sends short-term missionaries to serve ministry partners worldwide in church planting, discipleship, women's ministry, orphan care, feeding programs, and much more.
What do I do?
I have a variety of roles at Adventures in Missions.
As a Mission Coordinator, I am responsible for helping churches, small groups, youth groups, schools, and other organizations plan and execute their mission trips. I will guide them through the process of team building, fundraising, pre-trip training, and organizing all of the logistics. I am primarily responsible for coordinating trips to Fairbanks Alaska, but I will also help other team members coordinate trips to locations they are responsible for. For Fairbanks trips, I will also be responsible for coordinating all of the logistics on the ground in Fairbanks, and all of the ministries that the teams will be participating in.
As the Ambassador Coordinator, I am responsible for working with teens who are a part of our Ambassador program to do what they need to do to get on the mission field. As a member of the Ambassador team, I will also have the opportunity to help develop the discipleship tools that Ambassador trips will utilize.
As an Implementation Advisor, I will work with the STM team to implement new processes and technology. I will develop training materials, and make sure all of the team members know how to use the technology available to them to be more efficient in their roles.
As a Mission Leader, I will lead teams on the ground in various locations. This past year I led teams in Chicago, Alaska, and Puerto Rico, and I'm excited to see where God will use me next!
