I met Jesus as a young girl. I believed God loved me and He was who I turned to during a very difficult childhood. I would pray and trust God to take care of me. My family never went to church to become part of a community of believers. I did not have anyone to disciple me or tell me right from wrong. I knew the Ten Commandments, but I didn't really follow them. Then after I had been married for some time and was expecting my third child, I found myself alone and confused. Being married and having a family was a desire I had for myself, but my marriage was deeply strained and I had little support. I prayed to God to help me, knowing that He is the one who created the Family, so I believed He was the one who could lead me to a solution. As I prayed, I heard the Lord within my heart say, "I want you to know me." I answered, "But I know you." He replied, "I want you to know me more." I admitted to myself that maybe I did not know all there was to know about God. So, I committed myself to learning more about God and fully gave my life over to Him that night. That was over 30 years ago. Since then, Jesus has walked with me on many journeys. I have grown in character and resilience. The valleys I have lived through are being used to encourage other sojourners. Jesus is still healing people today. I am grateful to be His hands and feet to others.

2 Cor. 1:3-4 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
