As a senior in high school, you're encouraged to explore all the options for your future. Not every path is the right one, and sometimes we choose what we think is best instead of what the Lord has planned for us.

I was determined to go to a four-year college—to have the full college experience, live in a dorm, meet new people, and live independently. I had been accepted into several colleges in my area, received a few scholarships, and even scheduled some college visits. But when it came time to commit, I began to feel uneasy. I knew the Lord was telling me that graduating with $80,000 in debt wasn’t His plan for me.

So, I started looking into other options—like the military, community college, and missions. That’s when I discovered Adventures in Missions. I knew a few people who had gone on trips with this organization and was curious to learn more. The more I researched, the more confident I became that this was where God was leading me—to use my gifts in service to Him and let Him work through me.

I’m so excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to see where this adventure takes me!
