Know God. Create Community. Make an Impact.
If you have a heart for ministering to the vulnerable and lost through children's ministry, sports programs, community outreach and development, and discipleship, this trip is for you.
Guatemala: Known as “The Land of Eternal Spring”, Guatemala is one of the most beautiful and diverse countries in Central America. Tourists travel from all over the world to climb its volcanoes, drink its coffee, and zip line through the rainforest. However, the true beauty of Guatemala is its people. Gripped by poverty, the people of Guatemala hunger for the Kingdom of God. The majority of Guatemalans practice a form of Catholicism, and it’s estimated many also mix in ancient tribal religions and cultural traditions into their faith. Will you share the beautiful truth that there is so much more to this life with people in Guatemala?
Kenya: From the Maasai bush to the slums of Kibera, Kenya’s story is as diverse as its people. The nation is home to 42 tribes, 69 languages, and 400,000 Somali refugees. Despite its developed economy, half of Kenya’s population lives under the poverty line. Many suffer from preventable health problems like malaria, diarrhea, malnutrition, and pneumonia. Due to rapid population growth, 73% of the population is under age 30. Kenya has the 8th highest HIV/AIDS rate in the world, and 27% of females have undergone female genital mutilation. Will you share God’s love in Kenya?
eSwatini: The Kingdom of eSwatini (formerly known as Swaziland) is a small country neighboring South Africa & Mozambique. Ravaged by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, Swaziland has the highest HIV/AIDS rate in the world, leaving thousands of children — 12% of the population — without parents. In addition, 40% of all Swazis live on less than $1.25 per day, which is below the international poverty line. But we believe God has a redemptive plan for Swaziland. The key to a nation’s future is its children — in the care for their physical well being, the fulfillment of basic needs like food, clean water, and shelter, and in their education.
Adventures in Missions has made a long term commitment in eSwatini. With our base celebrating 20+ years of ministry, we are thankful for what the Lord has done here and excited for what the future holds. The base in eSwatini has a vision to see a generation of children raised up to take leadership of their country, spread the Gospel to the world, and create an abundant and healthy future for their nation. Come alongside our Swazi staff as they reach their communities through initiatives to strengthen families and develop communities, like feeding programs, agriculture projects, and leadership programs to raise the next generation of Swazi leaders.
