Greater Hope Uganda

In 2016 another civil war broke out in South Sudan. Over one million people fled their country for safety to the South and ended up in Northern Uganda as refugees. The majority are women and children.

Our priority is for the children to stay in school and continue their education.

Sadly, in July 2023, the food rations of South Sudan refugees in Uganda were drastically cut by the UNHCR due to poor funding, making it more complicated and challenging to keep these children in school without proper meals.

The Greater Hope Uganda Project is dedicated to the overall well-being of refugees, especially children and students. At Hope Primary School and other refugee schools, the greatest need for these children is nutritious food. This will guarantee their good health and keep them in school to get a much-needed education.

We need $1,500 monthly, for the 9-month academic year, making a total goal of $13,500 this year 2024. This will provide over 1,200 students of Hope Primary School with one hot meal a day, which is a huge support to the over 500 refugee families whose children attend Hope Primary School.

Please would you consider donating to help support these children and sustain their hopes for a better future?
